Chayah Pediatric Therapy’s (CPT) response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
We know these are uncertain times and keeping our staff and families safe is going to take a community effort. Chayah Pediatric Therapy will continue implementing its safety protocols against any illness including COVID-19 virus. During this time and always, our commitment is to keep you informed in order to help you make the best decisions for your family and our therapists. We will remain open and continue to implement these safety protocols listed below so we can continue serving our families.
Our standard precautions for reducing or eliminating the spread of any infection, including COVID-19 virus are as follows:
- Therapists/staff members who exhibit any signs/symptoms of illness will not be permitted to treat patients and are required to reschedule visits
- Therapists will sanitize any materials (toys/testing materials) brought to your home
- Therapist/staff will reschedule your visit if your child or anyone in the home has a contagious infection or if child shows symptoms of illness
- Therapists will follow standard hand washing/sanitizing precaution to wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or sanitize hands with at least 60% alcohol-based solution.
- Therapists and families are advised to take additional universal precautions as suggested by the CDC.
We are monitoring the CDC website as well as state agencies to provide the most up to date information to our families and therapists. Also, additional information on COVID-19 is available on the CDC website. You may also call DSHS COVID -19 at 1-877-570-9779 or email coronavirus@dshs.texas.gov.
